MULTIMEDIA DANCE & VIDEO EXCERPTS
Using the symbolic forces of Nature, Air Earth Fire, and Water, Judith has focused on our need to create a balance of these elemental forces. We must nurture, protect, and sustain the world as we know it, viewing the spiritual aspects, and protect it for future generations.
With this in mind, Judith traveled to different places filming on location, such as the Lacandon Rainforest. She created an hour long film, composed and coordinated with three screens, to be seen together with dance on stage. These 3- screen compositions were synchronized and had 5 separate sections:1 Earth:(Rainforest), 2 Water: (Ocean and Rivers), 3 Fire:( Chango and Oya), 4 Air: (Transformations), 5 Earth Return: (Africa.)
This 3-screen film is intended to be performed as a collaboration with dance choreography. The piece has yet to be performed in its entirety, however some of the sections have been performed on different occasions, with choreography and costumes by Judith Davies.
Here are some examples of photos and video excerpts of the Project.
